CARE Team

The Campus Assessment Response and Evaluation (CARE) Team is a multidisciplinary group that uses a centralized approach for coordinating campus services to support students with complex needs. 

Led by the Care and Resource Support Office, representatives from other offices serve as CARE Team members who collaborate together on how to streamline getting support for students who might be: 

  • Experiencing complex or multiple concerns 
  • Having difficulty navigating University systems 
  • Showing concerning behavior across campus 
  • Facing mental health concerns  
  • Experiencing unforeseen, complex circumstances  

CARE Team Goals

Our primary goal is to connect at-risk students with the relevant office that can best help them address the identified concerns.  

  • Provide a non-disciplinary response to concerns for students' well-being and behavior  
  • Use early intervention to prevent escalation of concerns   
  • Deliver support services like education, resource navigation, problem-solving strategies, and emotional support, to at-risk students 
  • Improve coordination and communication regarding concerns across campus 
  • Centralize referral systems to better identify, assess, manage, and support students of concern
