I am in High School

Overview

If you are in high school, you are eligible to apply for a 4 year scholarship! The scholarship will pay for all tuition, and includes a $1,200/year book allowance and $420/month stipend. The high school Four-Year Scholarship is for high school students planning on attending a four-year college program. Contact your high school academic advisor or visit the resources below.

Eligibility
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Be between the ages of 17 and 26
  • Have a high school GPA of at least 2.50
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Score a minimum of 1000 on the SAT (math/verbal) or 19 on the ACT (excluding the required writing test scores)
  • Meet physical standards
  • Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (Army Reserve or Army National Guard)

I am Starting College or In College

Overview

Scholarship opportunities exist for students and prior service Soldiers attending a four-year college program. These include possible Army active duty, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve ROTC three-year and two-year scholarships. Students entering the program in their second year of college may have to attend Cadet Basic Camp in the Summer after their second year. Information is available below. I am a Nursing Student

Overview

Scholarship opportunities exist for nursing students enrolled in a nursing program at the University of Pittsburgh and participating schools. Two, Three, and four year scholarships exist specifically for nursing students. Contact Mr. Bill Perez at WRP14@pitt.edu for more information.

Enlisted

Overview

The Army ROTC Green to Gold Division Commander's Hip Pocket Scholarship Program provides selected Soldiers the opportunity to complete their baccalaureate degree requirements and obtain a commission through participation in the ROTC Scholarship program. Each year Division Commanders can nominate deserving Soldiers for two-year Green to Gold scholarships or Soldiers can compete for four-year Green to Gold scholarships. Units are encouraged to nominate Soldiers under their command who have exhibited the potential for further outstanding service to America and our Army as commissioned officers. The best way to ensure that deserving Soldiers have this opportunity is to encourage them to apply now!

Interested Soldiers are encouraged to check the resources below.

Eligibility
  • U.S. Citizen (non-waiverable)
  • Age - you must be under 31 years of age on 31 December of the year you complete all requirements for a commission. You must have acquired your bachelor's degree by this time. This is a statutory requirement and there are no waivers authorized.
  • No criminal convictions.
  • You must have served a minimum of two-years Active Duty as well as three months of Active Duty for every one month of specialized training (a waiver can be requested).
  • GT score of 110 or greater.
  • Pass the APFT within the last six months with score of 180 or higher, minimum of 60 points in each event.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Cumulative High School or College GPA of 2.5.
  • Letter of Acceptance to School of Choice offering Army ROTC.
  • Letter of Acceptance from the PMS of that Army ROTC Battalion.
  • Favorable National Agency Check.
  • DODMERB Medical Qualification.
  • No more than three dependents including spouse (waiverable).
  • Four-year applicants must have a minimum ACT score of 19 or a minimum SAT score of 1000 (waiverable).
