Shantel is currently pursuing a Phd in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University. She earned a Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Ball State University. She also holds a Masters in Public Health from Tulane University, a Bachelors in Biology from Tuskegee University and a Bachelors in Psychology from Indiana University. Shantel credits her experiences as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer with igniting her interest in psychology. She is passionate about providing empowering mental health services, particularly to individuals from historically marginalized groups. Shantel's therapeutic approach is grounded in multicultural feminism and pulls from ACT, DBT, and relational modalities. Her areas of clinical interest include identity development, joy, relationships, sexual concerns, women-focused concerns, spirituality, trauma and multicultural concerns.
