MSG Greggory Space

Senior Military Science Instructor

MSG Greggory Space was born in Erie, PA. He joined the Army on 6 July 2006 and attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, Georgia, as an Infantryman. After graduating, he was assigned to the 1-17th Infantry Battalion as part of the 2nd Infantry Division’s 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) in Fort Lewis, WA. He was assigned as an M203 Grenadier, M249 SAW Gunner, M240B Machine Gunner, Rifle Team Leader, Rifle Squad Leader, and Reconnaissance Team Lead. MSG Space deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) X in 2009. His Brigade was later re-assigned as 2-2 SBCT, where he deployed in support of OEF XII in 2011. MSG Space was assigned as a Ranger Instructor at the 5th Ranger Training Battalion at Camp Merrill, Georgia, in July 2013. His duties included Instructor/writer and the Battalion Mountaineering SME. MSG Space was reassigned in June 2018 to the 1-503rd Infantry (Airborne) as part of the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team in Caserma Ederle, Italy. He served as a Rifle Platoon Sergeant, Heavy Weapons Platoon Sergeant, and Battalion Operations Platoon Sergeant. He was reassigned to the Three Rivers Battalion, 2nd Brigade ROTC, in July 2021 and is currently the Senior Military Science Instructor.

Master Sergeant Space’s Military Education includes: Ranger School, Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Basic Military Mountaineering Course, Advanced Military Mountaineering Course, Rappel Master Course, Chilean Mountain Warfare School, Field Sanitation Course, Combat Lifesavers Course, Emergency Medical Technician Basic Course, Combatives Level 1 Certification, Warrior Leader Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, Master Leader’s Course, Police Transition Team Course, Army Basic Instructor Course, Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course, Master Educator Course, Tactical Certification Course, Unit Prevention Leader Course, and Additional Duty Safety Officer Course.
