Captain Scott McClelland commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery through the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2012. He is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
CPT McClelland is a graduate of the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course and Field Artillery Captain’s Career Course.
CPT McClelland’s previous assignments include: Warrior in Transition, Ft. Sill, OK; Infantry Company Fire Support Officer, B/3-8 CAV, Ft. Hood, TX and Campy Hovey, Korea; Battery Fire Direction Officer, A/2-82 FA, Assistant Battalion Operations Officer, 2-82 FA, Ft. Hood, TX; Assistant Brigade Operations Officer, 18th FA BDE, Ft. Bragg, NC; Company Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Warrior Transition Battalion, Ft. Bragg, NC. Additionally, CPT McClelland has completed a rotational deployment to the Republic of Korea in support of USARPAC.
CPT McClelland’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (1OLC), the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, the Korea Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon and the Gold Medal German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.
CPT McClelland holds a Master of Business Administration from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Geography from the United States Military Academy.
CPT McClelland and his wife, Mrs. Samantha McClelland, have three sons, Aaden, Liam and Quinn.
