Captain Jamie R. Torres Rivera is currently serving as an Associate Professor of Aerospace Studies (APAS) at Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 730 based at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As an APAS and the Detachment Recruiting and Education Officer, she is responsible for the four-year officer education and training for AFROTC cadets from the University of Pittsburgh and 15 crosstown universities in the greater Pittsburgh area.
Captain Torres Rivera’s hometown is Johnstown PA and she completed her undergraduate studies at Seton Hill University in Greensburg PA. Captain Torres Rivera enlisted in the Air Force as a 1N0 Intelligence analyst. From 2011 until 2017 she provided intelligence support to F-15E aircrew at two bases and during a CENTCOM deployment. In 2017 she commissioned through Air Force Officer Training School as a 14N Intelligence Officer. After training Captain Torres Rivera once again provided intelligence support to F-15E aircrew including during a CENTCOM deployment. From 2020-2024 Captain Torres Rivera supported RQ-170 aircrew at 30th Reconnaissance Squadron and instructed aircrew at the 44th Reconnaissance Squadron.
