Care Advocate

Callan is a licensed social worker with a background working with youth and adolescents in areas such as child welfare, suicide research and in the k-12 school system. She earned her B.A. from Duquesne University in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Callan then completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh in 2024. Callan first became passionate about trauma focused care when engaging in restorative justice practices in the PPS school system and wanted to bring that knowledge basis to a higher education setting. She also has a passion for disability justice and healthcare equity.

Callan hopes to continue to advocate and support students who have experienced sexual misconduct, discrimination and harassment while navigating systems within the University.
