Breanne Donohue

Associate Director of Student Success Initiatives

Breanne has been a staff member at Pitt for 24 years where she currently serves as Associate Director of Student Success Initiatives. In her role, Breanne aims to connect first-generation and under-resourced undergraduate students and their families with opportunities and resources that will benefit their success during their time at Pitt and when they graduate. Key initiatives include the Provost Academy, the Career Prep Academy, Provost Scholars and the Provost Academy Leaders (PALs). Breanne works closely with the Office of the Provost Student Success Team and collaborates Division and University-wide on academic and co-curricular success strategies. Through these partnerships, Breanne aims to identify new opportunities to increase engagement of at-promise students and works to create intentional programs and pipelines to foster success and belonging.

Previously, Breanne held the positions of Associate Director and Interim Director of New Student Programs, overseeing the Division’s various orientation and transitional programming efforts for new students. Prior to joining Student Affairs, she served as Associate Director of Admissions in the undergraduate Office of Admissions and Financial Aid where she worked for 17 years. Breanne is a proud 2-time Pitt alum earning her BA in English Writing and MEd in Higher Education Administration from Pitt. She is originally from Chambersburg, PA and currently resides in the North Hills of Pittsburgh with her husband and daughter.
