- Family Weekend Oakland Cleanup Service Event
- 2 - 4 p.m. | Meet outside Trees Hall
- Students, families, staff, faculty and community members are welcome to join the Office of Engagement and Community Affairs for a community volunteer opportunity in Oakland! Volunteers will be hitting the streets of West Oakland to help us clean up the neighborhood. All materials are provided, we just need YOU to lend a hand! Students click here to register. - Visit the School of Nursing to participate in hands-on activities and demonstrations in the Skills Lab, Anatomy & Physiology Lab, and Simulation Labs. This event is designed for guests to stop by at any time between 2 – 4 p.m. There is not a set schedule for the event. Click here to register.

- Celebrate Pitt and Frederick family pride from the top of the Cathedral of Learning with us! Frederick Honors College students along with their visiting families and advocates are invited to join us for food and refreshments, explore our beautiful views, and meet with Frederick Honors staff and student ambassadors. - Join us for the official kickoff to Pitt Family Weekend 2023! Enjoy time with other families, students, and staff from around campus. Student Affairs administrators and staff will be at the reception to welcome you to campus and answer your questions about campus life. Appetizers and light refreshments will be served.
- Due to the large numbers of anticipated visiting Pitt families, registered families will receive a follow up email to select the time they would like to attend the reception. Options will be 6pm, 7pm, or 8pm. The reception experience will be the same at all time slots.

- Unheard-of: Music on Edge

- Ford Fourqurean (clarinet), Matheus Souza (violin), Iva Casian-Lakoš (cello), and Daniel Anastasio (piano) are Unheard-of, a Brooklyn-based clarinet, violin, cello, and piano quartet performing dedicated to connecting new music to communities in New York and across the United States through the development and performance of adventurous programs using technology and interactive multimedia. Unheard-of is committed to the idea that new music belongs in every community and implements this mission through concerts and educational workshops throughout New York as well as on tour. Students tickets at $10 and General Admission at $15.

- Sounds Upstairs: Flying Strings Youth Ensemble

- The Flying Strings Youth Ensemble is a talented group of musicians blending traditional Chinese and Western music. With members from across the U.S. playing diverse instruments, including pipa, guzheng, erhu, zhongruan, flute, violin, cello, and piano, the ensemble is committed to both musical excellence and community service.
