Student Organization Leadership Workshops
We know that leading a student organization is a dynamic and exciting challenge. That’s why SORC hosts a variety of Student Organization Leadership (SOLiD) workshops throughout the academic year to empower you to achieve your leadership potential.
Fall 2024 Workshops & Trainings
All Presidents and Business Managers must complete the applicable trainings no later than Sunday, September 30, 2024. Organizations whose President OR Business Manager fail to complete both of their assigned trainings will be made inactive for the upcoming academic year. Another opportunity to register for the spring semester will be available in November to those who were deemed inactive. Groups that will be newly created do not need to reach this deadline as they would not be formed yet.
New Organization Orientation
Are you interested in registering a new student organization with the SORC? Learn everything you need to know about SORC and university policies and procedures during this presentation. Student orgs who are interested in registering during the October, February, or June New Organization Registration period MUST have two representatives attend any of these live virtual orientation in order to qualify for registration status. You do not need to both be present at the same session. Your application will not be approved until two officers attend a session.
Students are expected to attend the session in full. Registration in advance is required. Students will not be let into the session 15 minutes after it has begun. These sessions will not be recorded and must be attended live virtually. Dates and times for fall orientations are below, and registration will occur between October 1-15, February 1-15, and June 1-15.

The paperwork and process for hosting an event off-campus looks different depending on whether you are an independent or sponsored student organization. Join us as we go over the necessary documentation and talk about the timeline for getting this paperwork to us.
