The Online Orientation is the initial learning space for new students at Pitt and is required. New, first-year and transfer students will be invited to complete their Pitt Online Orientation in mid-May (for students beginning in the fall term) or mid-October (for students beginning in the spring term). The Online Orientation will deliver important campus information, resources, and engagement opportunities in a series of learning modules, videos, and quizzes. Through the Online Orientation, students will also receive information and action steps for academic advising and course registration, that are specific to their admitted academic school.
The Online Orientation also includes Guest Access so parents/guardians can access the information. In addition, there is a Checklist feature which outlines additional required items and steps for students to complete prior to the first day of classes, as well as optional/recommended items. We encourage students to get started with the Online Orientation when they receive access, and even after completion, students can access it as many times as they want through the first couple months of the term.
