Future Plans:
"I am committed to advancing my career in accounting by pursuing a Master of Accounting at the University of Pittsburgh. This program will equip me with the technical expertise, analytical skills, and ethical foundation necessary to excel in the field. My ultimate goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and I am diligently preparing to meet the certification requirements, including passing the CPA exam and gaining the necessary professional experience. This summer, I have the opportunity to intern with Deloitte, where I will gain hands-on experience in tax accounting. This internship will allow me to work alongside experienced professionals, refine my problem-solving skills, and gain a deeper understanding of tax regulations, compliance, and advisory services. I look forward to applying my academic knowledge to real-world scenarios and developing the practical expertise needed for a successful career in tax accounting. Beyond technical proficiency, I am passionate about continuing to serve individuals with disabilities, as I currently do in my job at Bitty & Beau’s Coffee. Working in an environment that empowers individuals with disabilities has been a deeply rewarding experience, and I want to ensure that they remain an integral part of my life and career. As a tax accountant, I hope to use my skills to help individuals with disabilities navigate financial challenges, understand tax credits and benefits, and secure their financial well-being. Long-term, I aspire to become a highly proficient and ethical tax accountant, helping individuals and businesses navigate the complexities of tax law and optimize their financial strategies. Through continuous learning, professional development, and a commitment to serving diverse clients, I aim to establish myself as a trusted advisor in the field. By combining my education, CPA certification, and hands-on experience, I am confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to the accounting profession while continuing to serve and advocate for individuals with disabilities in my community."
