- Key Sign Out
-
- An activity pass and your Pitt ID are required to check out a key to a student organization office. The Activity Pass program is designed to streamline access for students who need to utilize specific office or storage spaces. With an Activity Pass, pre-approved students can check out a key to your designated office or storage space from our front desk.
- How it Works
- Eligibility: The Activity Pass is available to students who have been pre-approved by an organization advisor, president, or department head.
- Key Check-Out: Once approved, students can use their Activity Pass to check out a key from our front desk. Both the Activity Pass and a valid Pitt ID are required for key check-out.
-
Requesting an Activity Pass: If your department or organization is not yet part of the program and you'd like to participate, please complete the Activity Pass Request Form and email Will Westley at wkw7@pitt.edu. Ensure that a key is available for your designated space.
- Request Submission Process
- All requests must be submitted online by the organization advisor, president, or department head.
- After the form is submitted, our staff will be automatically notified via email. We will create the passes within 3 business days.
- The passes are the size of a business card and must always stay with the student they are assigned to, except when in use.
- Guidelines for Requesting Activity Passes
-
To minimize waste, please only request passes for students or staff who will frequently need access to the office or storage space. If you’re unsure who will need a pass, only submit the names of those you are confident will require one. You can submit additional names throughout the semester by completing a new form. If a student leaves your organization, notify us immediately in writing so we can deactivate their pass.
-
- Important Reminder
-
Students cannot check out a key without presenting both their Pitt ID and their Activity Pass. Please ensure that students keep both items with them when accessing the designated spaces. For more information or to begin the request process, complete the Activity Pass Request Form today!
