Why Recruit at Pitt

Post a Job or Internship

Posting jobs and internships at the University of Pittsburgh is free and easy to do through the career services management platform, Handshake. To get started, set up an account on Handshake and request the University of Pittsburgh as one of your campuses to begin posting jobs. View step-by-step guidance on using Handshake's many features.

By using Handshake at the University of Pittsburgh, you agree to comply with the Career Center’s Employer Policies

Employers seeking experienced talent are encouraged to visit Pitt Commons, an online community for students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Pitt. If you are an alumnus of the University, you can sign up or log in for full access to the platform. Alumni can explore the community and post jobs and projects for students and other alumni to view.

Employers who do not have alumni status from the University can post full-time positions by utilizing the light version of our Pitt Commons platform. To create a light version account, utilize this Pitt Commons link and register using an email. When prompted to list your association with the University of Pittsburgh, choose "Friend" as the user type to receive access. This access will allow you to post jobs and projects for students and alumni to access. Having issues creating a light account? Please email Melissa Kelly at mbk58@pitt.edu.

Career Fairs, Info Sessions, and Tabling

Career fairs are a prime resource for connecting with current Pitt students and alumni that may lead to future employees or interns. They are also an excellent opportunity to enhance your brand on campus!  Learn more about career fairs, info sessions, and tabling.
